131 Boxing-Cool champion Joshua confident of extending hot streak (Reuters)
IBF world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua said patience would be the key to preserving his perfect knockout run after weighing in almost a stone heavier than American challenger Eric Molina on Friday. The 27-year-old British boxer showed off an impressive physique when tipping the scales at 17 stone 11 pounds (113kg) as he looks to make it 18 knockout wins from 18 professional bouts on Saturday. "People love the thud of punches and there will be a knockout," said Joshua who won Olympic gold at the London 2012 Games.

134 Retroactive: Ring Magazine names Ali 1966 fighter of year (The Associated Press)
The Ring Magazine is making Muhammad Ali its 1966 Fighter of the Year, a half century after refusing to give him the award because of his disapproval of the draft for the Vietnam War and connection with the Nation of Islam. The boxing magazine said it was righting a wrong by retroactively naming the late heavyweight great as the best fighter of 1966. ''The editors at that time obviously felt strongly that Ali, while succeeding in the ring, didn't meet other criteria they deemed important,'' said Michael Rosenthal, the magazine's editor-in-chief.

135 Molina bids to tame heavyweight champ Joshua as late call-up (The Associated Press)

Eric Molina, in many ways, is an improbable contender for the world heavyweight title. The American was a late call-up to fight IBF champion Anthony Joshua after the British boxer's proposed super-fight with Wladimir Klitschko failed to be approved in time. The experts see Molina as the latest fodder for Joshua on his inexorable rise to the top of the heavyweight division, where he's won all 17 of his professional fights by knockout.

Anthony Joshua has risen to the top of boxing's heavyweight division in serene fashion, with barely a clean punch landing on him in 17 straight professional wins. On Saturday, Joshua makes the second defense of his IBF title against a 34-year-old American with nothing to lose and a huge punch in his armory. Everyone is in agreement: Eric Molina is a credible challenger and Joshua's most dangerous fight to date.

British fighter Anthony Joshua has barely had a glove laid on him on his rise to the top of the heavyweight division. In his first, he made WBC champion Deontay Wilder wobble with a left hook in the third round but couldn't follow it up and was knocked out in the ninth.

As the youngest of nine children, Evander Holyfield never had a chance when he was a kid. Whip them he did in an impressive boxing career that spanned more than three decades - 160 wins as an amateur, 44 more as a pro - and included undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight titles, not to mention oh-so-memorable fights against Mike Tyson and Riddick Bowe. Boxing's only four-time world heavyweight champion, dubbed ''The Real Deal,'' now has a new moniker - Hall of Famer.
