"IRON" MIKE TYSON: "I'M GOING TO GO HARD AT IT ONE MORE TIME!"
By G. Leon

Tyson breaks silence, wants third fight with Holyfield!

In this must read exclusive interview that lasted over thirty minutes and can only be found on Boxingtalk.com, former undisputed heavyweight champion "Iron" Mike Tyson breaks his silence and answers all of the questions boxing fans want answers to. We were surprised to learn that Tyson will likely return to the ring later this year, as he expressed great interest in a third fight with former four time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield. Tyson was in rare form and you definitely don't want to miss what he had to say!

WHATS do you guys think?????

Havent posted here in a long time but this just sounds horrible, Mike dont wanna fight which is why he said he dont want any warm ups, he just wants a big cash fight with Evander, he will get in the ring in half assed shape as usual and fight half assed, hes just not gonna all of a sudden turn the clock back 20 years

I know it wont take a 22 year old to beat Holyfield but Evander would jump at the chance to make his name again against a washed up Mike and Evander would come in shape, Mike wont.

Still dont believe this, Mike just likes a little attention Wink

tnx for posting the interview supreme_champ! maybe you should next time just pm it to some tt regular members if posting it will cause problems but sofar so good.

tyson possibly fighting again...wow
i dont necessarily want to see him comeback in the ring. i want to see him live his life in peace and hapiness because he earned it

but if boxing will help him with his problems (like putting his mind off the difficult rehabiliation and fixing his debt in the meantime) then i will support him

i think holy is a better matchup than mcbride. why fight guys twice your size when your just recovering from injuries? thats not an easy match.
tyson also has personal business with holy so motivation is no problem at all

but if holy starts headbutting and cutting again then they shuold punish holyfield immediately.

If Mike Tyson wanted to go hard one more time..........he would fight other fighters like Evander Holyfield did in his last attempted to become Champion, he may not have achieved his ultimate Goal, but Evander Holyfeild gave it a honest try.

He fought for the World Heavyweight title again, and went 12 rounds

"One more time, he fought until the end"

To me it looks like Mike Tyson just wants to make some money.....the easiest way he can in the ring. And he thinks Evander Holyfield is that opportunity.........it would be a attraction but i don't know about the fight.

Both of them need to retired, they have been there and done that.

Evander Holyfield beat Mike Tyson 2 times,...and he beats him now.
Evander Holyfield has never left the Gym....

Mike Tyson in his last fight was beaten by Kevin Mcbride, yes Kevin Mcbride. And on top of that he has had 3 years of bad living and taking drugs.....that's a great excuse already.

Times change..........it's over.

Holyfield says he is ready for Tyson and wants to whoop him a third time!

The article is on boxingtalk but you need to be a member to see it.

Tyson needs Holyfield to make money and Holyfield needs Tyson to get attention. Have your money saved if this goes through it's likely the last chance to see a Tyson fight live for those who haven't.

Tyson doesn't seem like he's going for anything other than a cash grab though, if he gets a BS trainer then don't expect much from him.

Holyfield has just been in the ring with one of the paper champions and did 12 rounds so is in very good fighting shape particularly for his age. Whilst I believe that Mike would love to beat Holy up, I agree with Ross that this is a cash exercise and unfortunately he will end up on his back again.

The only way I would want to see this again is if he does make a genuine 'run' for the title and gets in fighting shape and fights his way through some decent opposition first of all ideally dealing with McBride and Williams along the way!!! Stay retired please Mike.

i Would like to see Tyson Humiliate Holyfield, but sadly ..... i just dont dont see it happening..

It depends, if Tyson is serious, he would obviously have to fight some more Smaller fights.... anyone still got Mceenley's number ??

But seeing he wants Holyield only, i think its obvious its the Cash he is in desperate need off

There is no reason for him to fight those smaller fights, he only has so much energy at his age and training is going to be tough as sh.it. To do all that work and then fight some small name fighter is just taking a large risk and not much reward.

If people still want to see Tyson they want to see him in big fights. It's like Leonard coming back after years retired to fight Hagler or Trinidad fighting Jones. Just matches for the sake of fighting, not towards the belt. Nobody should expect these guys to be top in the boxing world anymore but if they can still put on an entertaining show it's good enough.

To be honest its just a few idiots that have put this idea in Mikes head.

If it does have to happen, I dont think there is any chance of a title run, not only do I not think that Mike would stay in shape or even get in shape to work his way to sharpness and up the rankings but Evander is just the only opponent that Mike could make big money against.

They have well documented history, ie the bite, they had a good first fight. The world tour thing that was half assed tried, that in my mind was always geared toward making interest in Mike fighting and giving him rounds, I always thought that was the purpose, for a title fight or any high profile fight.

If it has to happen, then for promotion and to get Mike some rounds then this is probably the best way.

Mike could even make a mint by being filmed and making a documentary about his training leading up to this proposed event, like 24/7.

Dont be fooled in to thinking this has anything more to do than making cash

Also Mike has been sobre and clean for a year, hes getting an itch but really, fighting is a young mans game and Mike aint young any more

If by chance he does fight Evander and manages to win then maybe he could fight another old name but no youngsters, well under 40 anyway Very Happy

I dont see Mike even training for this, if it gets signed, its guaranteed money in his pocket why would he need to dedicate himself when he never bothered for the past 13 years
