August 20th isn't that long away, but long enough for Mike to be wondering what will happen....those judges out there look ruthless too, I hope all goes well....you know after all the hard work and hardships he's endured I honestly think the man should just enjoy the rest of his life as he pleases...If he want's to smoke, so be it....his competing days are over. Lord know's when I hit that age I plan on kicking back with a whole lotta pina coladas and a just chill, I wish that man the best of luck....for the sake of him and his children....peace peopel. What's disgusting, deploraable and shows double standards is that people like Paris Hilton can get caught DUI and not get sent to prison. People like Snoop Doggy (whatever he is called) gets repeatedly caught his drugs and weapons and nothing is done.

Mike on the other hand passes his sobriety test, has no trace of drugs in his system, comes clean, goes into rehab, makes a big effort to clean, admits he needs help and they STILL want to throw him into prison. Corporate white America eh? Who said racism ended within the judicial system? Rolling Eyes

Demorak, institutional racism is particularly prevalent in judicial and penal systems. It's very prevalent here in the UK and moreso in the southern states of America compared to the rest of the country. There's always one hick town DA looking to make a name for himself.

For once i agree with you Smile
Years of jailtime for having used drugs (while the person now is in rehab) isn't fair. A procecutor who wants fame and is screaming he's going to send Tyson to jail at every opportunity on tv isn't right.

I want to see a movement aswell! Evil or Very Mad

Well, the rape case was so poorly constructed that in any sane and LEGAL court of law in any country in the world, Tyson would not have been convicted. There was overhwleming evidence in Tyson's favour and very little evidence in Washington's favour. The prosecution has since said that he needs a retrial.

History of violence? Erm, he's a boxer. All other instances of violence, look at the semantics of the situation and you'll see he was NOT the instigator; he was provoked.

Holyfield biting,
Lewis press conference (Lewis threw the first punch that connected btw, watch the video again)
hotel lobby
other instances where Tyson has been accused of sexual assault, the case(s) have been thrown out of court.

Things may have been dealt with wrong, but listen Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist weather people like it or not. He has a record of assault, beating people up outside clubs, jumping on top of cars. Road Rage, he is going to get looked at differently.

Mike Tyson is no fairy so quit crying.

Nobody is crying. I'm just pointing out the double standards that some people are incapable of seeing. I've also pointed out fundamental flaws within their own perspectives and within the judicial system when it comes to dealing with anyone of high status such as Tyson.
