I would have imagined this post having a million comments by now... Anyway who knows if Mike will come back, if he does I hope he takes it seriously if not stay home and keep doing what he is doing cause he has been doing pretty well from the looks of things.. So be that it may Mike Tyson, if you hands are ready and your head is clear go for it, but when it comes to the 3rd and 4th round I dont want to see you biting your gloves again cause you realize you made a mistake by coming back! Mike you said a dozen times that you are not the same ANIMAL you were when you were younger. So if you do try to make a come back, have the right people around you and don't become a ploy to make someone else a lot of money. Make sure you play it smart your not a young KID anymore like the first time around when you were with DK. Remember though it is you in the ring not DK, not anyone telling you to do this or that, not your friends or family and most certainly not anyone who just sets back and post comments on websites!! (ME) or these other cats. You are a man make the decision yourself. With age comes wisdom, sooo what you gonna do Mike???????

See you guys later!!!

I like this guy. Prety much agree with most everything stated above.

I was going to start a thread about this other day, but honestly, I don't feel like seriously talking about the possibility of Mike returning until I hear something definite. This is all very sudden and until I hear hear otherwise, I don't foresee a comeback. at the end of the day, i don't think Mike Tyson wants to box again.

And not to mention Don King's involved.Less than three years ago, Mike called him a "piece of sh*t ...a slimy, repitilian mothafukka..he's just a real bad man.' Let us pause and take this all in. Don King promoting Mike Tyson once again. What is going on here? Who's pulling the strings on this one? Very odd, I think.

Look, it's been five long years since Mike last fought. I've written repeatedly on this board that any hope for a comeback is wishful thinking. The dream is over, in my opinion. But you know, if Mike has his heart in this (this is my biggest concern) than I wish him the best obviously. Go for it. Shock me by completing the biggest comeback in sports HISTORY by winning the title back. Otherwise, if he just wants to half-ass it, don't even waste our time, especially Mike's. Be happy with what you're doing. He has nothing to prove to me or you or anybody. Maybe he has something to prove to himself? We shall see.

Although I have my doubts that this will ever happen I thought it was important to post it due to the mass media coverage of the report and viewers coming to the site for that information.

Take a look at this link and make sure you read all of it.

King: No comment on Tyson return

Pretty cryptic responses from King. But I do think something's brewing here. I just don't know if I'm board with a 44-year old Mike Tyson coming back after a five-year layoff. But we live in strange times and stranger things have happened.

Out of all the bogus rumours I've seen in the last couple of years, this one has me worried the most. Because recently tyson has made up with the devil himself(Donny boy) and indeed looks like he lost a lot of weight. For the devil, nothing is out of the question, and we all know what kind of mind control the devil had on Tyson if you look back at history.

Hmm, very interesting read here. this is officially getting weird:

http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/7798/return-tyson-don-king-hatching-plan-bring-back-man/

The writer is dead on: King's got a lot of work to do (and money to spend) if he really wants to get this train back on the rails. And Mike better be serious too...

Interesting stories.
You must say one thing about King: he is some kind of motivator. When you hear him talk of Mike you really want to see him back in the ring...
Hope Mike'll make a decision that's comming from his hart

If Mike's really going to do this, he should get back with Kevin Rooney. Otherwise, he's just wasting his time and our money. That being said, I'm sure he won't. Why get back together with King, the worst guy he could go back to, and not Rooney, the best guy he could go back to, and the only guy who could even get one win out of him? Unfortunately, this is the same line of logic Mike has been following since he met Robin Givens, and look at what's happened to him since then. People are so excited about this rumored comeback that they don't even see the poor decisions he's already making. If he hires Jeff Fenech to be his trainer again, I'll have to force myself not to watch purely out of principle. A fighter of Mike's caliber should only be handled by top tier trainers, and the lack of those trainers is the reason why he had so much difficulty in the ring after getting rid of Rooney. If a Tyson in his 20's was less than great because he didn't have a quality trainer, imagine how he'll look now.

glad i'm not the only one who thinks this.

I don't get it if tyson can make up with someone who treated him so bad(king) then why not someone who treated him so good(rooney)
