What's an arm puncher? A person who hits you on the arms?

It's a fighter who punches without putting their body behind it.
Normally fighters turn their waist and shoulder with the punch motion and spring their legs so they get full leverage behind their punches (see Tyson). Arm punchers just punch with their arm muscles without putting the body in the motion (and so without full leverage).

Arm punching is sometimes safer because it leaves you less open and it's less telegraphing. But it's also less powerfull (since you only use your arm muscles),...unless you're George Foreman.

Foreman was indeed an arm-puncher. But Foreman was a freak of nature. His hands were huge and he had amazing raw power in his arms.
It worked great for him.
But this topic actually belong in the general boxing section (has not much to do with Tyson).
