I think this is another low-depth in the heavyweight division and clearly shows the need of Tyson.

Golota (the man who was demolished in 53 seconds by Brewster in a third straight attempt to win a title and before that literally cried when getting brutalized by Tyson) will fight again on the undercard of Rahman-Barret. Shocked
My friends, how low can it go? Previous month Ruiz was reinstated as champion again after losing against Toney. Now this.
Golota will probably get a few easy wins and will get a a fourth title chance! Rolling Eyes That's how bad the division is at the moment. Shocked

If this shows anything,....it's how badly Mike Tyson is needed right now in the heavyweight division and how good his chances really are.

I really think Golota should retire. He has done everything he could. Got a throw at every belt around (and winning none of them). What more do you want?

golota's promoter is don king. he could get title shots from now to the end of time because king is so crooked.

You are absolutely right. Don King holds the heavyweight division in a firm hostage handgrip. And the boxfans are the big losers in this scenario (where Don King and his signed fighters are the money-winners). There are only two wildcards running around: Toney (who now is on the sideline due his drug use) and Tyson (who will set his first step towards his needed return on June 11). Klitscho isn't mentioned since he is HBO's biggest men and won't involve with King.

i agree. he has had a hold on the heavyweights like they are his pet for over 30 years. first he had frazier. then he had foreman. then ali. then holmes. then tyson. then holyfield. it is his policy to have the heavyweight champion in his pocket.

Indeed. Don King knows the heavyweight division represents big money and Larry Holmes said it best: "Don King doesn't care about black or white,....he only cares about green".
I wonder what would happen if Don King wouldn't be here anymore (which sooner or later will happen; the man isn't immortal as far as i know). Would the boxingscene become better or worse without Don King?
And should Golota retire? Wink
