Styles are about mentality as well as physical so your size cannot determine weather or not a style will suit you that said it could not do any harm to give it ago plus there is no better man to teach you that style

any one can fight in any styler you just have to train hard enough and want it long enough

Steve Lott told me some time ago Kevin was not training anyone anymore (one on one), but maybe things have changed. I would email Steve or better yet get in touch with the gym before you go out there to train.

You'll probably have to stay in Albany though, the closest city to work live etc. Its not a far haul though if you got a car and are determined to make it happen.

Everyone here hit it on the head, its you, not the style you train, its comes down to that. Bruce Lee was a firm believer in that more then anything that could be taught in a classroom or dojo or boxing ring, and trained all styles of fighting, boxing was one of his strongpoints (like he had any weak ones) , and he based his boxing style to Ali's, who was his favorite boxer, but adapted his style to fit his own individual "style" of fighting.

"Take what you can use, discard the rest, add what is uniquely your own"

Good luck, and keep updated

I can confirm that Kevin is still training boxers in the Catskills. I met him last there week. He currently is training one novice cruiserweight/heavyweight but has agreed to take clients that my company sends over to train with him.

There is an amateur tournament in Catskill town on 31 July so i am organising a training camp that runs up until the tournament for carded boxers. Non-amateurs (white collar/recreatinal and pro boxers) can train at any time subject to Kevin's availability. I don't want to be accused of advertising so i don't want to put any more information here but this is relevant so email me or pm me with an questions.
