How do I use the star for the Punchout game?

Does anyone here know or remeber what button(s) it is to use the star in Mike Tyson's Punchout?

Hitting the enter button uses the star/power punch. you can also gain some of your energy back by repeatedly hitting the space bar between rounds, and continuing during the start of the next round (you have to hit the space bar rapidly, then hit the enter button, while still hitting the space bar) This will only work for one round so chose the round wisely
