as middleweight i wud bet on hopkins.
he would take that jab away from pavlik away and pavlik would have nothing anymore. also hopkins is slicker and quicker
pavlik would never be able to land his right straight cleanly

Hopkins will lose. Who has he beat that is comparable to Pavlik. He lost both fights to Jermain Taylor and Calzaghe. The only reason that Calzaghe fight ended with a split decision was because hopkins was allowed to foul at will, as usual.

jim3 thats really not a nice way to talk to someone, especially when what they are saying is the truth!! Taylor beat Hopkins 1st time on split decision 2nd time 5 months later unanimously. Honestly you need to chill out and open your mind to constructive criticism when you start off a new topic, the whole point is that people get to say their opinion on the matter!!!

To jim3 how did Hopkins win the second Jermain Taylor fight ? For the first 7-8 rounds he didn't do anything then turned up the pace for the last 4 rounds and lost. Which was the same crap strategy he used in the first fight. Saying Hopkins won that fight is simply your opinion. Hopkins is overrated and always has been, he is a natural light heavy who insisted on fighting in the middleweight division against smaller opponents. Beating guys who started boxing as welterweights and lightweights isn't amazing. He should of moved up years ago.

Hopkins, as shockingly good as he is for a 43 year old, is sadly passed it now. He should retire. He is already a Legend.

hi, i used to be a big hopkins fan but i knew calzaghe would beat him from yrs ago & he did even if joe had a bad night. i have lost my respect for hopkins $ i must call him a BUM or a complaining loser when is the last time he kod someone he fought taylor twice scared to even throw a punch & this is what boxing is these days pavlik is kind of exciting but look for hopkins to make a very boring stand probably land 1 - 5 punches a round hopefully pavlik can ko this bum & shut his big mouth [hopkins doesn't back up what he says ] there hasn't been a legend for 20 yrs in boxing no one is even close & i can name hundreds

IF YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE HOPKINS WOULD GET IN THE RING WITH PAVLIK YOUR DEEPLY MISTAKEN HE WOULD COME UP WITH SOME EXCUSE EG MONEY JUST LIKE HE DID AGAINT JONES JR HE WANTED 50-50 EVEN THOUGH JONES TOYED WITH HIM WITH 1 HAND IF HE WAS A MAN HE WOULD HAVE TAKEN 60-40 TRUST ME FORGET ABOUT HOPKINS HE'S FOOLED THE PUPLIC ENOUGH .HE TALKS IT UP BUT HAS NEVER KO'D ANYONE IN THIS DECADE
