saw flick today, pretty good.
the Tyson thing totally totally doesn't fit in it just comes outta nowhere and is gone in 2 seconds but oh well.
I'm pretty sure Catskill gym were big Rocky fans and Mike used some Rocky songs a couple times to entrance to when he was young so nice he gets to be small part of the films. |

I think Mike may genuinly have been arguing with Tarver but Tarvers part sounds as though its been edited in later.
Mike (in my thinking) is saying its charity work as though Stalone is giving him charity in letting him appear in his film or it could be that Mike was refering to himself giving Tarver charity by fighting him and giving him a big payday, there was talk of these Two meeting around the time of the filming, it never came off.
Mike also refers to Tarver being with a midgit, he was refering to Sly |

Really
What is the point in that To make Tarver look bigger
I thought Tarver looked ridiculous as a heavy weight champ, no muscle tone or even size and hes supposed to be flattening todays big boys.
Ok todays fighters arent as skillfull or even resiliant to punches but Tarver would just get brushed aside, even non boxing fans will notice that.
I think Sly just wanted to not be completely dwarfed again but there are still better choices, Toney for a start, I dont think hed ever have gone for Mike because Mike is well known for being a small heavy weight, how would Sly explain Rocky being even smaller ? |

Then your back in the realm of totaly unbelievable, Stalone would be dwarfed.
He needed someone just a tad bigger that looks like a fighter |

Stallone has a very fragile ego, especially when it comes to his height. His actual height is rumored to be around 5'7 (same as Tom Cruise) but like Cruise he is rarely seen without his magic elevator shoes which give him a few extra inches.
His shoe maker confessed once "I made the guy look 4" taller for 16 years!!!"
No way would Stallone ever have even entertained the idea of putting one of the Klitscko's in with him in Rocky 6 unless he was willing to don 6" stiletto's and fall all over the ring trying to hit him on the chin |

alright guys, I saw the movie, it was very good btw.
Tyson talks some smack to Tarver on his way into the ring, Tarver was NOT accompinied by a midget, but a short black guy, who was very small in comparison to Dixon (Tarver), this is who Mike was reffering to. Not stallone. Also, Mike doesn't look out of place doing that, it's a typical scene at a big fight, I thought it was cool.
You gotta watch the movie and see for yourself....
BTW, Dolph Lungren (Ivan Drago) was 6'4" in real life, and was an experienced heavyweight kick boxer. Stallone is actually not very small, at 5'10" and a physique that still resembles a professional bodybuilders. People tend to exeggerate Stallone's lack of size, saying he's small...when in reality, he's around average height, and much more heavily muscled than most men.
And a fragile ego? How can anyone confirm this? I love how people always try to cut this guy down. He's small, he's got a fragile ego, etc.
I read an interview with Tarver a short time ago, Tarver said that while filming the fight scene for the movie, they hit each pretty hard, in his words "I threw some heat at him, and he threw some heat at me", Tarver said he broke his knuckles on Sly's head, and that although Sly isn't a skilled boxer in the ring, he has the "pit bull style" perfected, Tarver went on to say that Stallone would have as good of a chance as anyone in a street fight.

I think Stalone has just found his first "nut hugger"
Please post the interview where Tarver says he would be a good street fighter |
