Harry Greb- The best fighter ever?

He had over 300 official fights, most of them fought while blind in one eye & poor sight in the other, usually fought men much bigger than himself & was the only man to beat Gene Tunney, He's got to be rated at least on a par with Sugar Ray Robinson. Billy Conn said Greb was the best fighter he'd ever seen, & Conn had seen Robinson & Henry Armstrong.

harry greb was good yup he beat tunney but i think they had a few fights and tunney avenged the defeat, i wudnt say greatest ever because there were better fighters than him like ray robinson but i think he's underated by many people...... he shud be rated top 10 p4p atleast and still u dont see his name mentioned i defintely think he was a great fighter and a legend but in boxing history he isn't mentioned that often which is a shame maybe because he was fighting in the early 1900's and plus he might of had more fights that aren't listed in his record especially when ur looking at a guy that fought back in the very early part of the 1900's his record is most likely incomplete so its hard to judge his legacy

Yeah he actually had about 600 fights but a lot were unofficial, I think he had six fights with Tunney, he won the first & lost the rest but Tunney was getting physically bigger while Greb always fought at about 158lbs. I agree it's a bit of a contreversial pick but for me he's right up there.

He was Middleweight champ in the 1920's, he usually fought light heavies & heavies & even Dempsey refused to fight him after they sparred once!
