Tyson was a ripped, muscular 200 lbs at 14 years old! In a poverty stricken ghetto of Brownsville, there obviously were no steroids and Mike was huge and ripped with no weight training at all. Same with him in prison, no drugs or anything and they guy actually had a hard time not going over 230. Tyson is a genetic anomoly. It would be interesting for someone to look at his genetic makeup as I've never seen someone with that kind of natural muscle and power, even when not training or when a young boy.

i fink mike was built like that because apparently his dad kirkkpatric or somin was really musclar so i think he got it from him. and plus now he picks upp a lot of weights dats wy he was heavy with danny 233 mike could easily weight 224 if he didn't pick weights even now boxign is about skill and tactics you don't need to be supper strong really but mike wants to and datz hiz choice but its also bad the weight slows him down and his stamina
datz y he only lasted 4 rounds if he weights 224-225 he could easily
upto 8 round i mean wining rounds mike could do 12 rounds at 233 but he would start losing all the rounds from 5th i also mean if he waz 224 he would have the potential of wining rounds upto 8 or 9[/i][/code]

Tyson didnt use steroids but holyfield did you only have to look at the way his muscles were coming out his back when he fought tyson, holyfields steroid abuse would explain his heart problems .

Steriod has noting to do with that, some muscles develop different, Its is to do with fast twictch, slow twictch 1, 2, 3 there are many componets in your muscles. These fibers in your muscles, are like strings, like when you eat a piece of chicken, and you see the strands. (motor neurones in muscles, that type of *Censor*)

Evander holyfeild, is just naturally defined more.

Athelets muscles develop, and shape diferently. Also some people, will be naturally more defined and athletic.

I don't beleave that Evander Holyfeild was on steriods, no way.

But in sports like boxing, you can get away with offenses like this. Sports like track and feild are alot tougher, to mess the system . I beleave that Boxing, is the badest sport on the planet, too much politics and drama these days, what the boxers want to do, dos'nt always happen. (bad people involved in it)

but hey!

Tyson don't need no f*cking 'roids!

He'll knock any motherf*cker out without 'em!

What the *Censor* does he need them for?

He's had the same build throughout his career.

He's only weighing heavier because he's older now.

And he does hit the weights more than he used to, but back then
weightlifting was taboo. Now it is a commonly accepted practice in boxing.

^^ yeah, ive always noticed norton and holyfield all have the defintion of a body builder who uses steroids, in particular their backs and traps.. so well defined..

A friend of mine back in the day said that they don't care if fighters are using 'roids cuz' there's so much money involved. That kind of sh*t just
gets kept under wraps.
Vargas is the only one I know, and there is a good chance he took them unknowingly from his nutritionist. I give him the benefit of the doubt.

In Tyson's last recent fights he came to Tupac Shakur's "Ambitions az a Ridah". Against Lewis he came in to DMX' "What's my name".

The all-time Tyson ring entrance song: "Welcome to the Terrordome"
by Public Enemy.
I also like the one he used for Spinks. It was, like, just a church bell striking twelve. Dark and scary. It definitely spooked the "Jinx" even more.

I think in the seventies and early eighties steroids were used reasonably widely I know of four or five people personally from around this time who were using them (starting to show my age) and this was just from local gyms I had trained in. I think in years to come you will get some of the top class athletes from this era come out and admit they did use steroids.
All the eastern block athletes from this era seem to have been using them, we can assume that all their amateur boxers were using them, there is also a female tennis great from this era who always looked like she could be using them although she never tested positive.
lets face it the reason they brought in testing was to combat their use, they are dangerous, there have been some notable deaths linked to them.
Did Mike use them we will only know if he comes and says he did, I don't think he did his physique appears to be so natural but I bet he's been in the ring with a few people who have been using them.
