Danny Williams to Spar at Gleason's in New York to Prepare For Tyson

Danny Williams arrives in New York today to begin sparring sessions at Gleason’s gym in preparation for his July 30th matchup with Mike Tyson in Louisville, KY. Williams is confident that he can make the most of the biggest opportunity of his career by beating Tyson, who returns to the ring for the first time since knocking out Clifford Etienne in February of last year. While at Gleason’s, Williams will work under the watchful eye of his trainer Jimmy McDonnell with the assistance of American Dwight Yards who has worked with Erik “Stone Cold” Kirkland among others. Williams, promoted by Frank Warren, is 31 years old with a record of 31-3 with 26 stoppages. The Brixton, England native is a former British and Commonwealth Heavyweight champion and currently holds the WBU International belt.
