A date of January 20 has been set for hearings and a trial involving Mike Tyson and two autograph hunting fans..

Tyson is charged with misdemeanor assault, harassment and disorderly conduct while the fans Samuel Velez, 31, and Nestor Alvarez-Ramos, 24 have been charged with menacing and harassment.

On June 21, 2003, a fight broke out involving the three outside a New York Hotel when Velez and Ramos approached the former undisputed world heavyweight champion for an autograph. The lawyer for the two men alleges that Tyson attacked his clients after remarking “Get the f- – – away from me.”

But Tysons Lawyers insist that he acted in self defence after Velez is said to have remarked You may have fast hands but a bullet is faster.
