In the middle of his own training program Mike Tyson still showed interest in the boxing world as he attended the middleweight championship fights night with Bernard Hopkins vs. Robert Allen and Oscar De La Hoya vs. Felix Sturm on the card.
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson waits for the start of the Bernard Hopkins vs. Robert Allen WBC/WBA/IBF middleweight championship fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 5, 2004.
About the fights Tyson commented:
“There’s no way he beats Bernard Hopkins fighting like he did tonight,” Mike Tyson said. “If he does, he’s going to get his head knocked off.”
“Bernard Hopkins was in better shape then De La Hoya and you could see the difference in the last couple of rounds.”
“Oscar De La Hoya is not strong enough for this division”
