Tyson Quotes

"I look forward to coming back again. I've lost more than I've won in life, so, believe me, I'm pretty much understanding of the situation and I can deal with it. I can deal with adversity."

~ Mike Tyson after the Buster Douglas Match

One month after Mike Tyson's arrest for DWI and felony drug possession in Arizona, the former champ has checked himself into the Wonderland Center, an exclusive Los Angeles treatment facility in West Hollywood. According to TMZ.com, Tyson has been one of the "humblest, sweetest, and most genuinely considerate celebrities" they ever met and that, "Iron Mike is just one big ol' sentimental softie." The 40 year old Tyson checked himself into the rehab center during the last weekend in January, where actress Lindsay Lohan is also currently receiving treatment. Tyson revealed to a TMZ source that he was afraid the other residents would hate him for all the wrong that he's done. The report also added that Tyson "is just another person trying to get his life together." In April of 2006, Tyson checked himself into the luxurious Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona after supposedly being inspired by a trip to Chairman Mao's tomb in China. But that stint lasted only a couple of days, which ignited reports that the fighter "stormed out" of rehab. However, a Fightnews source indicated that Tyson was assured he would receive private counseling, rather than group therapy. When that promise did not come to fruition, Tyson checked himself out. Here's hoping Mike makes it through this time around.
