Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson attended the Los Angeles Premiere of Yari Film’s ‘Resurrecting the Champ’ at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on August 22, 2007 in Beverly Hills, California.

At the afterparty he posed with actor Samuel L. Jackson, director Rod Lurie and writer Michael Bortman.

The plot of the movie “Resurrecting the Champ” (opening in the U.S. on August 24): “Up-and-coming sports reporter (Hartnett) rescues a homeless man (“Champ”, played by Samuel L. Jackson) only to discover that he is, in fact, a boxing legend believed to have passed away. What begins as an opportunity to resurrect Champ’s story and escape the shadow of his father’s success becomes a personal journey as the ambitious reporter reexamines his own life and his relationship with his family“.
