Mike Tyson is coming to Ireland – but Irish heavyweights need not go into hiding.

The former world heavyweight champion will be there for five boxing
dinners at which he will answer questions from the audience.

The former ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ will have two shows in
Dublin, one in Belfast and one each in two other cities to be decided.

He will be accompanied by another former world heavyweight champion
on stage, Frank Bruno. UK promoter Ray Fisher, who was in Dublin
yesterday to check out likely venues, is looking at dates in March and
April.

“Mike and Frank recently completed a hugely successful five-city
tour around the UK and the people want them back again,” said Dubliner
Joe Egan, the former four-time Irish amateur champion, who is with the
two former champions on the dinner circuit.

“From initial and positive inquiries we have made, all we need to do is to name the places an dates.”

Tyson said: “I’m looking forward to the
Irish tour”.
