Mike Tyson News: Shane Cameron headed to Tyson camp to work as sparring partner

New Zealand heavyweight champion Shane Cameron (12-0) will depart Auckland, New Zealand for Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday to work as a sparring partner for Mike Tyson (50-5) who is scheduled to fight Kevin McBride(32-4-1) on June 11 in Washington DC. Cameron at 6'2 and 238 pounds displayed good power to stop Australian heavyweight champion Colin Wilson (30-18) in seven rounds to capture thae IBF Australasian crown on April 29. Cameron is a former Commonwealth Games Bronze medalist and also a regular sparring partner of David Tua. Cameron manager Don Mann said, "We were invited by Mike Tyson's trainer Jeff Fenech for Shane to work as a sparring partner with Mike. It will be a good experience for Cameron. He has boxed in the USA - but to work as sparring partner to Mike should be a good learning experience." Cameron's trainer Danny Coddling, will also make the trip to Phoenix. Cameron is sheduled to meet Roger Izonritie, (the brother of former heavyweight contender David Izon), on July 30 in Auckalnd New Zealand.
