Mike Tyson (50-5) could be matched against Australian heavyweight Bob Mirovic (25-13-2) in Washington D.C. on June 20. If Mirovic wins his scheduled bout against Timo Hoffman on the undercard of WBC super middleweight title showdown in Germany featuring Marcus Beyer and Danny Green on March 12 he could face Tyson. Tyson’s new trainer Jeff Fenech said, “Mike’s manager Shelley Finkel has given Bob the OK and I will be talking to Mike about Bob tomorrow. Bob is a very credible opponent who almost stopped Danny Williams and also went the distance with (WBA rated) Nicolay Valuev in 2003.” Both Mike Tyson and Bob Mirovic were stopped by Danny Williams in round four – Tyson in 2004 and Mirovic in 2003.
Mirovic is a two time Australian champion and current WBF International champion.
