Mike Tyson has been removed from ‘The Ring’s’ latest heavyweight rankings because of inactivity.

It has now been more than 365 days since ‘Iron’ Mike last
fought, and since at time of writing he does not have a fight
scheduled, Tyson is not ranked among The Ring’s top 10 heavyweights since he returned from a 19-month layoff in January 1999.

Tyson took just 49 seconds to stop Clifford Etienne over a year ago, but has been inactive since.

Due to Lennox Lewis’ recent decision to retire, Vitali Klitschko takes over at the head of the heavyweight rankings.

Klitschko bounced back from his brave loss to Lewis last year in
impressive fashion with a second-round win over Canada’s Kirk Johnson
back in December.

The 32-year-old Ukrainian is set to fight South African puncher Corrie Sanders in April.

Sanders is now ranked at number three by the ‘Boxing Bible’, who
have Roy Jones at four and their 2003 Fighter Of The Year James Toney
ranked at number five.

Newly crowned WBA champion John Ruiz is rated at number seven, three places ahead of his last victim Hasim ‘The Rock’ Rahman.
