DANNY WILLIAMS plans to be the proudest mummys boy on the planet when he fights Mike Tyson here tonight.

The Brixton Bombers mum Beverley will be ringside for the first time in his 34-fight career as he bids to upset the odds at the Freedom Hall.

And joining Bev and dad Augustine, will be Williams partner Zoe who has only ever been to one of his bouts before.

Williams, 31, drove to Louisville airport to pick up his parents unaware his partner and two kids Nibia, five, and six-week-old Mellia were on the same flight.

He said: Dad has been to every one of my fights but I cant believe my mum will be watching me live for the first time. Its incredible shes here.

Im sure my mum will say a few prayers for me. I just hope she will be able to open her eyes and watch me beat Tyson.

Usually, she cant even watch me on TV. She has to go upstairs and wait until my bout is finished. When she knows Im OK, shell look at a recording.

I was staggered when my dad called and said mum was coming over as well. It is such a boost for me that both my parents will be ringside.?

Williams trainer Jim McDonnell said: Danny knew his mum and dad were flying over but he was totally unaware his family were coming as well.

It has been a major surprise for him, although I think it must be a bit scary for his mum at the thought of sitting ringside.

As far as I know Zoe has only ever been to one of Dannys fights and that was a low-key affair at York Hall in London.?

Williams has a reputation for cracking under pressure a trait that has undermined his un- doubted boxing skills and prevented him reaching the very top.

But the Londoner has trained in the US for the last five weeks and rarely looked so relaxed.

He added: The thought of losing breaks me up and that is why I have put so much needless pressure on myself in the past.

But this time Im supposed to be just another English bum, a loser imported to fatten up Tysons record. But thats not how it will be.

Tysons best chance of beating me is within the first four rounds. After that Ill be able to do what I like with him.

But it doesnt mean I have to be defensive. In fact, I intend to let him feel my power early and show him no respect.

I have started slowly in some of my recent fights. I have to make sure it doesnt happen this time because Tyson will rush straight at me.

Tyson will punch me the hardest during those early stages. But I have to be like the all other fighters who have beaten him Buster Douglas, Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis and show no fear.

After four rounds this fight is mine. Tyson has only fought once in the last 17 months against Clifford Etienne. And he was knocked out by Lennox Lewis in his last real bout, 25 months ago.

When you give it to Tyson he doesnt like it and starts complaining to the ref. I just hope a strong official is in charge.

But I have no faith in the judges . . . so it wont be going to scorecards.?

Tyson, 38, almost holds Williams in contempt believing that the Londoner is fighting way above his class.

He insisted: Everybody is making something of my age but Im not that old. Im not Moses with some great beard.

Williams has only ever fought one American. And, no matter how old I am, he is no Mike Tyson.

He is not going to be able to do anything with me. Im going to work him over before I knock him out.

It was only 15 months ago I did that to Etienne and Im not too old to do it again.

So Williams thinks he only has to take me past four rounds and the fight is his . . . well he has to get past four rounds first.?

It is hard to disagree with Tysons verdict.

As much as Id like to see Williams prove everyone wrong and finally deliver on the big stage, I take Iron Mike to win inside three rounds and go on to take the world title for a third time.

Flat out to win

MIKE TYSON is having daily massages as he prepares for the clash.

A long-standing back problem flared earlier this week and forced Tyson to abandon his training for the day when the muscle went into spasm.

Trainer Freddie Roach said: Mikes back is getting better but it has been a chronic problem.

We have masseurs working on it every day as soon as he has worked out, but we have kept it under control.

By fight time hell forget about it.?

The problem has not affected Tysons relaxed mood as he joked about promoting the sex drug Viagra!

Tyson is now living alone after two failed marriages and a string of kids. But he said: Im trying to get a commercial for someone like Nike but what Id really like to advertise is Viagra.?
