Noted director James Toback’s highly anticipated documentary on the former two-time heavyweight champ will premier at the Cannes Film Festival next month (May 14-25th).

The documentary, entitled “Tyson,” follows the path that the fighter took after both his championship losses and his eventual fall from grace. Toback has said that he amassed over 30 hours of interviews with Tyson which took almost a year to complete. “Mike made himself completely vulnerable in this film, and he was honest about all the things that have highlighted his life,” said Toback.

Mike Tyson News: Mike Tyson to visit Great Britain for 5 city charity-tour --update

NewsSource: sheffieldtelegraph

Boxing legend Mike Tyson is returning to Britain for a series of charity-dinners.

And he's hoping to raise thousands of pounds for local good causes.

Tickets, costing up to £200 a head, went on sale today for his appearance at Doncaster Dome, on Thursday May 29.

It follows a sold out dinner at the Dome two years ago which raised £5,000 for the family of a Yorkshire police woman who was shot dead.

Tyson also handed over £10,000 from a Leeds dinner to the grieving family of Doncaster rugby league coach St John Ellis, who collapsed and died after a training session.

Tyson's close pal Andy Booker, of Askern, is organising the forth coming event with promoter Ray Fisher.

"I spoke to Mike last night and he can't wait to come back here. He loves the place and fans can't get enough of him," newsagent Andy told The Star.

"He says he wants to help other local charities. Nothing's decided yet. But it's typical of Mike. I've seen him hand over cash to people in the street. He's so generous. He's probably given millions to charity. It's a side of him that not many people know about.''

Tickets for the event are £75 (bronze) or £125 (silver) each, with a limited number of £225 gold tickets, including champagne reception, best seats and personalised photo. Visit www.fisherpromotions.co.uk or call: 01925 414123 / 07710 525 389.

Update 1:
The dates and locations are as follows:
Friday, May 23rd at Manchester Old Trafford
Sunday, May 25th at Carlisle Sands Centre
Tuesday May 27th at Birmingham ICC
Wednesday May 28th at Gateshead Federation Breweries
Thursday May 29th at Doncaster Dome
For ticket information call: 01925 414123 / 07710 525 389.
