Mike Tyson News: Tyson didn't assault Camerroonian woman in Porto Cervo

NewsSource: AGI

Sassari, Aug 22 - Mike Tyson didn't kidnap, let alone beat or rape 33-year-old Florence Botoli, a Cameroon citizen living in France. The former boxer has been cleared of the crimes that, according to the woman, he committed on August 6 in Porto Cervo. The investigations carried out by the Carabinieri proved that Tyson had not committed such crimes and the woman was reported to the authorities charged with slander. Investigations, led by lieutenant Antonio Mundula, proved that the injuries sustained by the woman are not consistent with the kind of aggression that she had reported. Florence Botoli said that she had been kidnapped by Tyson and his body guards and that she was taken, together with other girls, to a yacht in Costa Smeralda, where Tyson allegedly beat her to force her to have sex with him. The woman explained that she had met Tyson at the Billionaire club in Porto Cervo, where she and her 20-year-old friend Fanny Vuemba Mabindi, were forced to get into a car that took them to the yacht hired by the former boxer. Some other girls, who were on the yacht, started a strip-tease show. Tyson offered Florence Bortoli and her friend some drinks and repeatedly asked them to have sex with him. Since she refused, Tyson started beating her and raising hell on the yacht. The two girls managed to run away helped by one of the body guards. The woman's version of the facts was not confirmed by the Carabinieri and, as a consequence, she and her friend will be notified an indictment for slander signed by deputy prosecutor Paola Ferrari who coordinated the investigations.

In 1992 Tyson was convicted jail-time for a similar situation which till the day of today continues to be a highly questionnable conviction. Most recently ExposeInjustices.com and attorney Alan Dershowitz expressed their view on how Tyson was wrongly charged guilty. In his new book entitled 'America On Trial, Inside The Legal Battles That Transformed Our Nation' famed attorney Alan Dershowitz released findings regarding the 1992 rape trial of Mike that he says show the boxer was innocent of raping a beauty contestant. Mike Tyson has always maintained his innocence.

Mike Tyson News: Kevin Rooney on Classic Now!

News Source: fightnews
By Lisa Scott

Former Mike Tyson trainer, Kevin Rooney will make a very rare television appearence on ESPN's brand new show entitled 'Classic Now.' The famed coach will discuss the events surrounding Tyson's infamous Harlem street fight with Mitch 'Blood' Green back in 1988. ESPN Classic will air the show on Tuesday August 23rd at 7 p.m. and it will be re-broadcast at 11 p.m. Tyson-Green first faced each other in 1996 at Madison Sq. Garden where Green lost a 10 round unanimous decision. While that bout garnered little attention, their unsanctioned one round brawl on a Harlem street at 4 a.m. (in front of Dapper Dan's 24 hour clothing store) created so much hype, that a rematch of their 1996 fight was seriously considered. However, all that materialized was a fracture to Tyson's right hand, swelling to Green's left eye, damage to a sideview mirror on Tyson's Rolls Royce, shirts torn, charges filed then dropped... and Green longing for a rematch to this very day.

NewsSource: boxingtalk

BT: Recently, Tysons been in the news for some accusations. What advice would you give to Mike Tyson, a good buddy of yours?

Freddie: The accusations, hopefully they stay that way and not come true. Of course I like Mike. His life is under a microscope and everything he does is going to be noticed. I hope they're not true and I always hope the best for Mike. I think he should become a boxing analyst or be a broadcaster.

BT: Would you like Mike as a commentator/trainer type?

Freddie: I'd like to see him as a commentator. I don't think Mike has the patience to be a trainer. Hopefully he'll get his life in order.
